How to Create a Project?

Begin your quality management at the top with Crosscheck, a comprehensive test management tool. This step-by-step guide will walk you through creating a project—the cornerstone of your QA hierarchy. Within your project, you’ll be able to structure milestones and features, and organize test cases, bugs, and test runs, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient QA process. Let’s build the groundwork for success.



Creating Project in Crosscheck:

Access the Add Project Form:
  • Click on the projects icon from the sidebar.
  • Click on the "Add Project" button.
Fill Project's Form:
  • Project Name: Enter a name for your project in the ‘Project Name’ field.
  • Project Status: Select the current status of your project from the dropdown menu: choose between 'Open' or 'Close'.
  • Share with: Use the 'Share With' dropdown to select which users or team members you want to share the project with.
  • ID Series: Create a unique ID series for your project with a 3-letter alphabet code for easy identification and tracking. (not available in the free plan)
Step 3: Review and Create Project:
  • Double-check all the entered information for accuracy.
  • Click the ‘Save’ button to finalize the creation of your new project.

Note: By default, all projects are shared with Owners and Admins. You cannot remove admins and owners from the project's members.

You’ve now successfully created a project in Crosscheck. This new project is ready for you to begin managing test cases, reporting bugs, and much more.



Frequently Asked Questions

Who can create a project in Crosscheck?

Only users with Owner, Admin, or Project Manager roles can create projects.

What is the project limit for Free Plan users?

Free Plan users can create up to 3 projects.

Can Basic Plan users create unlimited projects?

No, Basic Plan users can create up to 50 projects. Unlimited project creation is available only with the Premium Plan.

How do I access the project creation form?

Click on the projects icon from the sidebar and then click on the "Add Project" button.

What information is required to create a project?

You need to provide a project name, select the project status (Open or Close), choose users to share the project with, and create an ID series (not available in the free plan).

Can I remove admins and owners from the project's members?

No, by default, all projects are shared with Owners and Admins, and you cannot remove them from the project's members.
